Jennifer's Story
It's been nearly eighteen years since high ended, and so much has happened in that time. I'm thankful everyday for the many ways God has blessed me, often in spite of myself!
After high school I spent two years traveling with Life Action Ministries, followed by one year traveling with Encounter Revival Ministries. During that three year period I grew tremendously in my walk with Christ. When I returned home to NY in June of '93, I began working in a local daycare and began dating one of my best friends and former classmates, Chris Johnson. We were married in August of '94. In May of '06 Chris and I both felt God was leading us in a new direction, and we made the move to Michigan. Chris was hired as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director of a large Christian school, where he remained until resigning in April of '08. He is currently working for JP Morgan Chase in the Logistics Dept. at their local data processing center.
In between the details, we've definitely been faced with our fair share of struggles, even heartache. But our God is a faithful God whose grace always proves to be sufficient. We strive to serve Him everyday, and be Christ-like examples for our children and the world around us. I truly can't imagine trying to live life without God as the center!
