Lisa's Story
What inspired me to write this bio:
A dark and not-so-stormy night in 2001, I was dragging myself and my luggage through the near-empty Mexico City airport when I hear someone call my name.
Turns out it was a dear friend from Carl Sandburg Jr. High! She recognized me and we had just a few minutes to catch up before she caught her flight home to Chicago.
I told her I was on my way to Oaxaca, Mexico to teach a painting and writing workshop, that I was living in Berkeley, CA (also known as Berzerkely) and she exclaimed, "Are you a Beatnik?"
Um...well. I don't know. I suppose always was the eccentric sister, and now I'm an eccentric aunt to two nieces and two nephews. I might possibly be domestically disabled. My dream kitchen, for example, has not had a stove in it for over a year. Good thing there are very wonderful restaurants here in San Francisco and the whole Bay Area.

anged emails, but her address didn't work. Bugger! I would have loved to continue our conversation.
Recent news: I'm a proud mamma (of a book, not a baby!). It's called The Creative Entrepreneur and is a business strategy book for folks who feel business-challenged yet find traditional "how to succeed in business" books boring and not-so-helpful.
I teach business strategy through fun creative process techniques than even non-artistic types gain a lot of insight from. The book is a quick read (it has lots of pictures!) so I hope you'll check it out. If you put my middle and last name in the Borders, Barnes and Noble or Amazon websites (Sonora Beam), you'll find it. My first name will be there eventually, there is some sort of weird glitch in the cosmic database. Amazon's cover image is incorrect. Hopefully they'll change that, too.
Let me know if you read it and what you think. Would love to hear from you!
