My favorite things...are not things.
These are some of my favorite things...
My loving husband and grown-up children
Getting warm hugs from my husband and children
My husband's sense of humor
My entire circle of family and friends
Enjoying anything that is creative, ie, a good book, movie, play, concert, artwork, dance, singing, poetry, etc.
Letting out a good, hearty laugh
Witty sarcasm...I think it's an Irish thing
A good conversation
Learning something new or doing something that requires me to give thought to it
Visiting National Parks and/or a different country
Colors Pastel colors, vivid colors.....Expand for more
.all colors, especially the colors of nature
Overcoming a worry, a fear, or a problem
Experiencing a pleasurable daydream
Picking vegetables, herbs, and flowers from my garden
Trees, especially when the sunlight is shifting and filtering through the leaves and when the fall colors appear.
The smell of lavender. I enjoy the scent of the lavender plants as I brush by them in my front walkway.
Preparing a delicious meal and sharing it with my family and/or friends
Acting silly
Being able to walk along the shore with the Long Island Sound in my view.
Being able to look out my window to see a rainbow over the water or the glistening light of the waves on the water or the moon gleaming on the water
Seeing sparkles of light on the fresh evening snow
I think you get it... anything that radiates in the light
Spending an entire night outside under a clear, starry night I did that just once at Martha'Âs Vineyard. It was during a Perseid meteor shower and it was so amazing. I'll never forget it.
Seeing several of your neighbors out-and-about, especially after a long winter season.
