Wendy's Story
Life
I have been married to the same man since August of 1958, we have 4 children and 10 grandchildren. Two sons, Craig, married and the father of three daughters, Chris, divorced the father of 2 daughters and 1 son. Two daughers, Cindy, divorced and the mother of a son and a daughter and our youngest Cheri is also divorced and the mother of an 8 year old daughter and a 2 1/2 year old son. Bob and I celebrated our 50th anniversary on August 30 of this year with a large family party at the home of our oldest son and his wife in North East, MD. At the celebration our oldest daughter,(3rd child)Cindy was married to Jeff Bowman so she now is the Mother of 2 and teh Step Mother of 3. Now we are the grandparents of 13. We also are GreatGrandparents as Chris's daughter Colleen and her husband Tony have a son who will be 1 on December 19th and are now expecting their second about July 4 of 2009. itutes of Health. We take care of Cheri's 2 children 5 days a week, Tony is not in Nursery school 3 mornings as week and Nicole before and after school while their Mom is at work. Our grandhcildren range in age from 25(graduated from college in December of 2006)down to at this present date(11/07/08)2 1/2 years old. I play English hand bells at church and also sing tenor in the chancel choir. I serve as Altar Guild Chair and am on the Worship Committee and in January will be chair of the Worship Committee. My husband is the Head Usher, a member of the Worship Committee and also a member of the Board of Trustees at our church(Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, MD). I enjoy counted cross stitch projects especially Christmas ornaments, do some quilting and plan to do more now that I am retired. I collect santa's and presently have a collection of over 100. I also enjoy gardening and working on projects in the house. We have lived in our here in Silver Spring, MD. since 1964.
