On Facebook also I lived on Rockaway Blv'd/Van wyck Expressway.Lived across the st from the Palace Bar with my Sister Arleen n brother Alan. Q40 Bus stopped there on it way in to Jamaica. Q7 bus stopped in front going to John Adams. I went to PS45 n graduted in June 1953.Went to John Adams n graduated in Jan 1958( should have graduated in June 57)Went to St Clement Pope Church(school closed in 2004) After graduating in Jan58 I went to work at GERTZ Dept Store as a Stockman.Worked for Gertz almost 20 yrs , had worked my way the ladder to Asst Store Mgr 1977.In between my employment at Gertz was Drafted in 1963-65 n served 2 yrs in the Army n stationed in Germany.Went back to Gertz til 1977. I meet n married my wife Jackie in 1974 who also worked at Gertz n was a Buyer for Infants Furniture n Layette. Moved to Long Island in 1977 with our Son who is now 35 married n lives in Albany n have 2 Granddaughters and finally got my Grandson born 7/28/2008.
