Erin's Story
Life
I attended the Allen Christian School from 1982-1996. I rode the Mr Capers van until the 6th grade. After graduating from Allen, I attended Jamaica high school from 1992-1996. I was a cheerleader at Jamaica High from 1993-1996 and was Co-Captain my senior year. I later attended Shaw University in Raleigh NC where I was a member of the Aya(eye-yah) dance ensemble and was a residence advisor. After graduation I moved to CA and taught third grade at Loveland Academy. While in CA I was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. A year later I moved back to NY and taught at Jen-Lyn's Daycare and Kindergarten. I later taught at the Allen Christian School from 2002-2005. I am currently looking for a job. I am not married and I have not children. I am enjoying the single life.
School
I remember my first day of school at the A...Expand for more
llen Christian School. I remember being in the church basement until the new school was finished. I also remember riding the Mr. Capers van every morning. I also remember all the teachers I had.
At Jamaica High, I remember the principal taking hats and walking the halls. I remeber Rev. Lucas coming to check on Shekinah members. I also remember being on the cheerleading squad and cheering at the games. I remember people playing spades in Mr. Heiss' office and every table at lunch. I remember the senior trip and the school dance. I also remember walking up the hill everyday in the snow and even when it wasn't snowing.
I remember Shaw University and the campus parties. I remember the basketball games and the Aya(eye-yah) Dance ensemble. I also remember the snow storms that we had and no class and the hurricane my freshman year.
