After HS I went to work for General Telephone for a year then I got drafted on May 6, 1968 (Never forget that day). From basic training I was given the same type of job I did at GenTel and went to Fort Campbell, KY. After only 6 months there I got send to Qui Nhon, Vietnam with a combat signal unit. I was discharged when I got back from Nam. I stayed in Lakewood, got married to my HS girl friend in 1972. I went back to GenTel until 1971 when I left to get into construction. In 1976 I got a divorce and moved to Reno in 1978. I have 2 kids from my first marriage. I met my current wife a month or two after moving to Reno and we have been together ever since. We have one daughter, Arin Hope, who is a miracle child.
