Paige's Story
Life
hi friends...it's paige..but with the last name of deckard now. i am happily living back in crawfordsville with my husband ray and our gorgeous 13 year old son logan. ray is a supervisor at nucor corp., and logan is in the 8th grade at Southmont Jr. High. we've been told that logan is gifted/talented so he's taken a couple of classes at purdue for the super saturday program. logan and ray are both into nascar. i've even developed a taste for racing myself. we've gone so far as to put a nascar room in our home. granted, it's the tackiest room in our home but it's fun. ray is 9 years my junior but he's the mature grounded and analytical one and i'm the spontaneous, fun, live by the seat of my pants kind of gal, so it all balances out perfectly. a little about me now...i've been teaching fitness classes for our parks and recreation dept. for about 100 years now...OK only 23 years, and i just resigned as their bookkeeper. our new director...well, let's just say he has no business being an administrator. i absolutely love working out and being active but we all get older and working out gets harder as the years creep up. i teach all kinds of aerobic classes including the senior population and i used to teach gymnastics but i've retired from that. we built our home 14 years ago and and we just added an entire addition to our home and an it's completed. ...Expand for more
ray did all of the work himself and i helped when i could. we spend many hours on raccoon lake in the summer and we recently purchased a permanently set trailer at lakeland estates. we do have a boat and ray loves to fish and i love to bask in the sun and do a little skiing. logan loves to tube but i can't seem to get him to try skiing. he's still a bit fearful of it. we have an 11 year old golden retriever by the name of maxx and get this...he's afraid of the water. as for the rest of my family....well....jon lives in greencastle with his beautiful wife jana and their two absolutely gorgeous sons luke (21) a junior at purdue and clark (18) a senior at south putnam h.s. jon also works for nucor corporation. my sister amy is single and living in crawfordsville and her handsome 23 year old son tyler is a senior at I.U. amy works at steel dynamics in pittsboro. patrick is living north of bellmore with his wife darcy and their boys, 12 year old chance and 8 year old twins dalton and bodhi. he has his own ceramic floor tiling installation business. mom and dad are still the greatest hosts on the lake and love to have company all summer long. if you've kept count then you know that they have 7 grandsons and no grandaughters. that's an update for you and i hope to hear from you all soon. i hope this finds all of you happy,healthy and with no gray roots..HA!
