Ann (Stout)'s Story

Life I am currently living in California after 30+ years working as a psychiatric nurse and psychotherapist. Retired from VA where I specialized in helping combat vets. Went back to work 2004 at my local Vet Center as a readjustment counselor for combat vets, from WWII to fresh from Iraq. Plan on retiring some day again when the vets stop pouring through the door. door to Marine Base, Camp Pendleton) Sometimes think I might move back and really retire in WV. I moved back easst to Waynesburg Pa in 2011. I'm now retired, living 20 minutes from Morgantown WV. I'm slowly adjusting to being retired, but love being close to my brother Walt and his family. Also bought log cabin in WV which sits in Lake Floyd community. Learning to relax.

TBT: To honor Nurses Week I’m posting this old, rather fuzzy photo from 1963. It features me standing on a bed in the Women’s Dorm at WVU dressed in my nursing student uniform. That’s Betty B on the bed. She was from Ea

My mom, June Stout, who could turn the most ordinary day into such fun.
Monday, 5.11: Our new walled flower garden is completed. We spent most of yesterday running around to nurseries and then planting. I hope to have some pretty flowers to photograph in near future. In the meantime:

It’s always good to see old friends return.
Wednesday, 5.13: While living in CA I missed changing weather patterns so I should be happy. We’ve gone from scorching heat to a 60 degree day.

Nope, just: One single black
