Nancy's Story
Life
After leaving Greystone I have worked in public libraries in Mobile, Al; St. Petersburg, FL; Chattanooga, TN; and
Fort Wayne, IN.
I had what is called a children's services coordinator position where I supervised other children's and young adult librarians, selected new books, and oversaw the programming. I applied for grants to enhance our services.
I married in the late 80's and my husband died of cancer in 2005.
The best thing about my work was that...Expand for more
I got to affect children's and young adults' lives but had no home work! It was the best of both worlds.
I retired 8/24/12, Have a few plans to volunteer with different animal rescue organizations and Habitat for Humanity. Want to travel some, too..
Update July 2012: Have moved to Florida. Yeah!
Update 2015: Moved back to Fort Wayne, Indiana. My mother needed help and I moved her to my home. She didn't like Florida, plus all my siblings are closer here.
