Melissa's Story
Life
After graduating from University of South Carolina in Sumter, I moved to Fort Mill, SC. I have lived here ever since attending Church of God and singing in the gospel choir. I attended Winthrop University for my Master's Degree with minor in Finance/Accounting. I have two (3) children: one boy, Adam and one girl, Marissa and young newborn, Niclaus. Work career: owned Substation II franchise in Lancaster, Realtor and Accounting consultant. I am married to an licensed Professional Electrical Engineer accrediation at the local telephone company in Rock Hill - just South of Fort Mill. I am now a stay at home mom, and realizing what a high calling being a mom truly is!!
School
Attended Thomas Sumter Academy from Kindergarden to 10th grade. I left TSA at that time, because my parents were separating, and it was cheaper to go to the public school than pay for private school. I then graduated from Sumter High School with honors. I hated leaving TSA; I even attended my classmates graduation in 1988. I missed YOU GUYS SO MUCH! I hope that one ...Expand for more

College
USC in Sumter for 4 years - undergraduate degree in Business Administration.
Winthrop University in Rock Hill - Graduate Degree in Finance/Accounting.
Owned Substation II in Lancaster and Realty Business in Rock Hill.
Workplace
I am now a stay at home mom. I absolutely embrace the high calling of this job. Even though my day never seems to end and all the chores never seem to be completed, I know my kids love me home! Those peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and being home to see every new thing is so worth me sacrificing the extra income and owning businesses! I love my kids! I just have new jobs now: short order cook, nurse, housekeeper, chaufeur, psychologist, secretary, social coordinator, landscaper, arts and crafts teacher, beautician, coupon shopper, scrapbooker and collector. Whew....need I say more???? hehe
