Ashley's Story
Life
My life has had some major turns that I never expected. I got married in 1986 to my high school sweetie. In 1991 we had our first child, a boy. In 1995 we had a little girl. We lived on Country Club Rd and had friends come by to visit all the time. In late 2000 we got a divorce and in 2001 I moved to MS. Must say for awhile it was great living single and by myself. I never lived by myself. Then late 2001 a prince saved me from my single sinful ways. I married him in 2002. He has a son who is now 16. Everybody has heard of a red headed step child...... I have one. hahaha. Not much happened during that time other than trying to get use to things as a blended family. The thought did cross my mind that I was going to have to get another divorce because prince turned out to be controlling and very jealous. I hung in there and now everything is great. We just bought my first new house (never lived in) in Jan. 2007. In March we had an inground pool installed. We have a Corvette, Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle, Avalanche and my husbands demo that changes weekly. We have 3 kids, 2 dogs, 1 cat and 4 fish. My husbands goal is to own his own dealership and I will he...Expand for more
lp to run it. We plan to get the kids started in it as well, so when we die hopefully they will continue the family business.
College
After I graduated I started at MCCC. Did not stay. Bad choice on my part. All I wanted to do was marry Patrick L and be a housewife. I am trying to teach my daughter different.
Workplace
I worked for KFC for 5 years. I started at 16 and quit when I was 21. I worked for Payless Shoes in Bly. after that. Then I worked for Village News which later bought Courier News. I worked there (Courier News) until 2001. Working for David Tennyson at the Courier News was the best job I ever had. If I still lived in Bly I would go back! I moved to Horn Lake, MS. but got a job at Enterprise National Bank in Memphis. I quit there because they were hard to work for and went to work for Bartlett Express Newspaper selling ads. I hated it, but was hoping an office job would come up. Ended up work for ALSAC - St. Jude calling people and asking them to have an event for the kids of St. Jude. I did that for 1 1/2 years and quit in 2005 to stay home with my kids. Something I have never gotten to do. I substitute teach now, but only when I want to!
