Eric's Story
Life
Sergeant First Class Eric S. Clyne joined the Nebraska Army National Guard on March 27, 1975, as a personnel clerk with the 67th Infantry Brigade S-1. Eric became one of the first active duty guard recruiters for the State of Nebraska. He was released from active duty in February 1978 to accept a position as the administrative supply technician for the Headquarters Company, 67th Infantry Brigade.
In June 1980, Eric was transferred to the 43rd Army Band as the Unit Administrator, and in 1994, Eric was transferred to the 92nd Troop Command as the Chief Administrative NCO and attached back to the 43rd Army Band. received their own full time support. In the fall of 1999, Eric was appointed as the FORSCOM Reserve Component Staff Bands NCO where he supports 72 reserve bands.
Eric transferred from the University of Nebraska business department to Doane College where he graduated with a degree in Business Administration and Human Relations. Eric also attended the Nebraska College of Real Estate and was licensed as a Realtor.
Eric has received the Chief of Staff, Army Supply Excellence Award First Place 1998 and 2005; second place 1999, five COL Don Hatten awards for supply excellence, the bronze German Marksmanship badge, four Meritorious Service Medals, thirteen Army Commendation Medals, four Army Achievement Medals and many other awards to include the Nebraska Outstanding Citizen-Soldier Medal and , the Nebraska Meritorious Service Medal for Valor.
