4/2008 My oldest son took me to Israel for Easter! It was the most amazing trip of a lifetime...sans the plane ride over and back. This is the first Easter since the 1800's that Easter and Passover fell on the same week end. It won't happen again for another 220 years. It was just a fluke that we were there on this tour at this time. Israel is a beautiful country between the valley's, hills, mountains and desert. Scenery and vista's that you couldn't imagine. And to see the Holy Land that we have all read about since childhood was like watching something come alive. Instead of black and white there it was in living color. The first thing I thought of when we were riding from Ben Gurion Air port to our first hotel was how lush and green everything was. The next morning as we were traveling from Capernaum to Tiberias was "boy, Jesus did a LOT of walking, bet he wore out plenty of leather sandals".
