School I have great memories of many teachers at Alcott - Ms Lyons, Ms Geddons, Ms Gronquist, kindergarten - Miss Slavinsky - Ms Holmberg. At Lane Tech my favorite teacher was Mr Carroll -English Poets. He was once marine sargeant in WW2, yet he could read a sonnet or soliliquoy by Shakespeare and you could just see his soul pour out. What a great teacher! Great memories at Lane. But, it was an all boy school at the time - and we had to swim naked in gym class! That was the 60's - the heck with your insecurities and what doesn't kill you - gives you nightmares! hah-ha ! Workplace In 1973 I moved to Denver with a country rock group - Wildflower. We played all original music written by our lead guitarist - John Burns (son of Jethro Burns of Homer & Jethro and nephew to Chet Atkins). It was a tumultuous time.
