Paul's Story
Life
In 4000 characters or less...went to GMHS, worked at the local motorcycle shop as a mechanic through High School. Motorcycles started as a childhood hobby and ended up being my first job. The following winter after Graduation in 1978 I decided to drive to San Diego in my green VW Bus I received my license in 1976 just to see what California was like.
So I ended up staying ever since with visits back to Maryland occasionally. I was eighteen at the time and landed a mechanic job at San Diego's largest multiple brand motorcycle dealership. What could be better, motorcycles, jet ski's, the ocean, mountains, deserts and of course the girls. Then a few years later the owner of the dealerships son took me up flying in their Beechcraft Bonanza. Well that was greatest experience so months later I found myself taking flying lessons at Montgomery Field right next to Miramar Naval Air Station here in San Diego. ving my Commercial Certificate and Flight Instructor ticket I ended up retiring from the motorcycle industry in 1987 and went to work at the Flight School I trained at as an Instructor. My next job two years later was flying cargo at night out of Burbank in a single engine Piper Lance. That was a fun job.
In 1989 I hired on with the Nation's largest Regional Commuter Airline based at various locations, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville and finally Dallas during my employment there until January 1998. That whole time I commuted from San Diego.
Since Jan 1998 to present I now fly a Gulfstream GIV SP and a Citation Bravo based in Carlsbad California. Motorcycles are once again a hobby for me.
Remember that green VW Bus I mentioned earlier? I drove that until November of 2003. I think I got my money's worth out of that thing!
