Life Well, it's been 5 years since high school...and I've already become a veteran. How's THAT for something nobody saw coming??? Back in Hampton Roads, doing odd IT contractor jobs and trying to keep from going insane from the solitude. OK, maybe not that bad, but it does get REALLY quiet now and then. Military OK, it went roughly like this.... I went to Boot Camp at Great Lakes, Ill 31 October...and promptly froze off various bits of my anatomy in the winter there. By the time I graduated it was the first week of January, and I was off to balmy Charleston, SC for Nuclear Field "A" School. Despite my wishes to someday glow in the dark and/or gain extraordinary mutant powers, I failed out of Nuke school...oh well. Next stop, Groton, CT for Basic Enlisted Submarine School. It felt like Boot Camp all over again. Everything was fine until they put us through some of the trainers..."OK, I'm ready to go...wait a minute, why did the lights go out...?
