Dana's Story
Life
I moved to Texas two years after graduating high school. There I met and married my husband, a native Texan from Temple, TX--Steve McCall. We had three children, two boys and a daughter that died after birth.
My husband is an intellectual property consultant/engineer. My son Andrew graduated from the Univ of TX Dallas, six months before I graduated there!! (We actually took one class together). He is a computer programmer and now works in Missouri. We now have a daughter-in-law, Kris, whom he married in September 2009. My younger son Chad is a wonderful musician. He is getting his bachelors in music education. As for me, I went back to school in 1991. I graduated December 2006 with my Bachelor's Degree and became a Texas certified teacher in History, Social Studies, and ESL.
I have stayed active in my religion as a Jehovah's Witness. My husband and I enjoy going in our religious door to door work together. I am concerned about world affairs and realize that the prophesied end of man's governments, religions, and commercialism is about to take place. ead, write, and speak Hindi, just as many Witnesses around the world are learning other languages in order to preach to immigrants in our home territory. There are over 200,000 people from India in the area where I live.
Currently, in my secondary career, I am teaching/tutoring home school students. I am retired from teaching ESOL at a local community college where I really enjoyed teaching young adults from around the world.
THE FUTURE-- I am looking forward to: the Bible says that very shortly mankind will experience a change of government--God's government will be here solving our problems. I can't wait to see the earth turned into a paradise, the animals at peace with mankind, and mankind free of suffering, old age, sickness, and death. Man sure hasn't been able to solve the world's problems. Only God can do so. I am looking forward to seeing my infant daughter resurrected in this global paradise. Can't wait to raise her and teach her about Jehovah God and his son, Jesus, who have given her the opportunity for life once again on earth. The future will be a wonderful future for mankind!!! That's why I continue to go door-to-door to tell people about God's kingdom!!!!
