Jonathan's Story
Life:
Update Oct. 30, 2015:
There is not much to change in my "Story", that was posted about 12 years ago. The big change is that I have been retirement for well over a year and it is very liberating. The Now photo, of me and my grandchildren, was taken Oct. 24, 2015
Original Story:
I have a son, and two grandchildren that live inear Milan, MI.
I presently live in Buffalo, NY but still root for the Dolphins (silently) when they play the Bills.
I truly love the north, and can not imagine life without the seasons. I really appreciate the splendor of the fall colors; the incredible beauty of a winter night when the full moon is reflecting on fresh snow; a white Christmas; the transition from winter to spring; and Niagara Falls.
I am amazed at the looks of sympathy I get when I tell people where I live.
In rereading the above, I don't feel as kindly about winter when I...Expand for more
am shoveling snow in single digit temperatures, with winds gusting above 40 mph (lol).
Life has been kind to me, and hopefully kind to all of you that read this brief bio.
Education:
I attended Washtenaw Community College, Ann Arbor, MI. I have an Associates in Science Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.
Workplace:
I am a Senior Engineering Tech and work in the field of electric motion control. I provide application support for our customers, as well providing on site start up assistance. I truly enjoying working in this field, and can not imagine a career more suitable for me.
Military:
I enlisted in the Marine Corps during Nov. 1965, and did a tour of duty in Vietnam from August, 1966 to Sept. 1967. I served four years on active duty and received an honorable discharge.
When I am asked what I miss most about my service, I always say "the camaraderie".
