Jeanne's Story
Life
Born in Az. in 1923. Attended Tucson Schools and U. of A. James Glasgow and I celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary in 2004. We have 3 sons, 2 daughters and 9 grandchildren. I was a soprano soloist in churches, Az. Opera, Opera Guild, weddings, funerals, Gilbert & Sullivan, and various music groups and choruses. Of course I am retired now, but until I moved to Austin 3 years ago, I was active in Daughters of the American Revolution,, Colonial Dames, Daughters of American Colonists, Tucson Women's Symphony Society, Daughters of the Nile, Az. Genealogical Society, and Quail Run Writing Group.

larinet at the U. of A., played trios. Guests moved to the living room for this special treat. Benny and Jim kept in touch and I have personal letters from Benny to Jim written over the following years. until Benny died at age 77.
Part of me died when Jim passed away in March, 2008. We were married 64 years.

Now, in 2020, I have moved to Austin, Tx. where my daughter Lynelle and family live. I am living in a beautiful retirement home a mile from their home. I have updated my NOW picture which was taken in January, 2018, by my daughter. I had my 97th birthday on May 30.. I wear hearing aids and use a walker.. Doctors and nurses are amazed that I don't look my age, so I don't tell anyone how old I am. The reason is a mystery to me, but physical age isn't always the same as numerical age. (Oh , I do have my hair colored.)
Schuyler Lininger and I put together the 70th class reunion, but he said that if we planned a 75th, it would have to be held in a closet. Ha! Time for an 80th? Does someone want to plan a virtual reunion?
