Louise's Story
Life
I graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1974 and attended Casper college, where I change my major 3 times (at least)!
I went on to the University of WY where I got married and fairly quickly divorced (no kids). Nonetheless, I graduated Phi Beta Kappa, a tough feat when things are falling apart around you.
I went on to graduate from the University of WY in 1979 with my bachelor's degree in English, then moved to New York City to earn a Certificate in Computer programming at NYU. I got my first job in as a computer programmer in New York City and there I met my husband, to whom I have been married to for 24 years.
After some busy, wonderful years in the City, we bought a house and moved upstate. We have two wonderful daughters ages 15 and 12. My parents, both in their 80's, left Wyoming and have been living in an apartment in our house for 10 years. My sister and one of my brothers lives fairly close...Expand for more
, so we are all very lucky to have each other.
My husband and I have our own computer consulting firm. The economy has given it a roller coaster ride, especially lately! Nonetheless, computers is still a good field, just not what it once was.
Now that I am fifty years old, I am thinking so very much more about all the people I left behind in WY, even though I know a lot of them are not there still either! I would love to reconnect with old acquaintances, and not necessesarily just best friends, (but best friends are very welcome too).
I am hoping that all the people I knew have found a measure of happiness and meaning in their lives. Mine has been a long and sometimes painful journey - and yet, I find myself much happier and contented (but not through with the adventures I hope life will still bring!) than I ever thought I would be.
