More about Andrew:"This picture, taken on my birthday 2012, shows the loves of my life, Lizz, Torry & baby Isla Thibodeau. I met Lizz in the fall of 1995. I was 25 and giving a free speech to the frosh of the UWO faculty of music during orientation week. They invited me to a pub at the Elephant & Castle in the Galleria mall. On the dance floor I met a bunch of the Foot Patrol orientation leaders, including this cute tall girl who had graduated Laurier in 1994. I asked if I could call her ... she gave me her card, saying her family was Scottish Folk Group and she played the fiddle (cool I thought ... she's in a band!), and gave her a call after orientation week ... our first date was a walk around the Laurier/Arthur Stringer neighbourhood, and we are still walking today ...
Married since July 1998, we had our baby girl Torry in June 2005. My wife taught French at Woodstock Collegiate for 6 years but is now a full time mom and volunteer with our church, Chalmers Presbyterian. Isla arrived in July 2008

Adams, Dumpy, Sims, Fuzz, the Whartons, Chuck ... so many of those guys get together for birthdays, football, and swimming in my pool
I am also close to a wonderful circle of friends I have met through Lizz and who go to church with me at Chalmers. We host dinner parties, perform in our church's gospel choir (okay, I turned pages for 6 years, I can't sing), and play tennis every weekday in the summer. These people don't talk about God ... they live it everyday in the kindness and generosity they show everyone. A highlight has been organizing three trips to the Mississippi gulf coast to help rebuild homes following the hurricanes. 17 volunteers and I have made 3 one week commitments to these devasted communities.
Of course, those of you who are married know that extended family become a big part of your circle of friends. My wife is the youngest of 4, and my daughter has 9 cousins just from my wife's 3 siblings. In-laws can be a real roll of the dice but I have been blessed with great people. My wife's parents and brothe & sister were born in Scotland and moved to Canada in 1971. Visiting her Scottish relatives is very important to us and 2011 marked my 7th visit to the UK in 14 years.
Many of you who know me also know my brother, who is still a neighbour to me and is doing well. He works or Access Fire Protection, I company that I own that Alphonse Schleihauf manages. Jason has a wonderful daughter, Jordan, born 1997, and is engaged to a wonderful woman named Rebecca. My sister Nancy also lives in London and her and her boyfriend have a daughter. She too is doing great. My mom is still on Metcalfe Cr. and are loving the grandparent life! Dad passed Sept. 11th, 2010 and we miss him dearly.".
