Frances's Story
Life
Now widowed. Have 5 sons, seven grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren. Live alone. Enjoying life and friends and family. Retired from the Hopewell School System. Was Cafeteria manager for 15 1/2 years. Cafeteria worker for 3 yrs prior to becoming manager. Retired with 18 1/2 yrs. Enjoyed working there. Love to collect Barbie Dolls, porcelain dolls and bird figurines. Just love collecting I guess. Should have graduated from Greensville County School but got married in summer of 1962 and went to Stoney Creek and finished my last year and graduated there. Love people, would like to re-unite with some of my former classmates to see how things have turned out for them. Love to sing, dance,enjoy computor,love friends and family. My children are the biggest part of my life. The computor helps me make it thru the day without being lonely. Friends are also very inportant to me.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up.
Get on the computor. This is the best cornor in my home for me. Lots of my friends live in here.lol
Yes I think my hero would always be my dad. I loved him very much.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mama my 2 husbands whom I lost in death, because I never got to meet my mama she passed away when I was lacking 12 days from being a year old. Also lost two wonderful husbands my first husband and father of my 5 sons we were married 25 years and he passed away and then a few years later in 1993 I married my childhood sweetheart James Robinson and I lost him thru death 5 months after were married. Been widowed every since. Lonely life..
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my mana Mattie May, because I never got to see her..
I have two quaker parrots that talk to me they are lots of company for me. I really enjoy my computor for I have friends and family here. That keeps me sort of sane.

If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a dinning room. My dream home would be any home that I would not be alone in..

My best friend would tell you I'm ok, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as don't tthink they would describe at all if asked.
Not really but stay with most styles I have always liked. Try to be sort of in style
I share my home with just me and my 2 birds, which I find to be very lonely.

I still really love my oldest friend. We met first on the cbs and then she opened a ceramic shop and I worked for her. We are still very close friends today for which I am so grateful. She is always there for me and I for her.
Growing up on the farm, living a an old two story house near the airport in Emporia, Virginia. My granddaddy living with us and some of my dads younger brothers. Always had a house full of love and laughter. Wood stoves to heat the home. Family that was family and not like a lot of things are today when family is not family. Too many other things going on in our world. Wish the generation today could live a year in my childhood so that our children and grandchildren could see and then appreciate what they have today. I as a child had wood heaters, no running water, no indoor bathrooms, very few toys or games back then we had make our own games. Our children today have too much handed to them and don't know how to appreciate anything mostly.
