Its been 58 years since My Family (Dad,Mom, sister Joyce brother Evan and I)left Mountain Grove,Mo. Sometimes it seems like yesterday. What a trip !!! We arrived in Granger, Wa..on the 31st of May 1951...Rented a Cabin at Crewport farm labor camp...It almost seemed like being in Missouri..Several "Show Me" familys were living there. We worked as a family, Hoeing beets, cutting asparagus,and picking fruit...But never on a Sunday...Attended Granger High School for a short time, Married Gene Long.. I have a son Dave, and a daughter Judy..I have been blessed with grandchildren...who light up my life.... In the years that I have lived,I have learned that what you put into life is what you get out of life..Thats not saying, that we don't meet with circumstans that we have no control over..Except how we walk through the m...Expand for more
atter. I like the simple things of life; A good book,a walk down a country road, cooking a good meal for friends and family, and most of all my Relationship with JESUS. Its been said, that life is a Journey.. So we must be careful what road we choose to travel. Happy Traveling Things have changed in my life...I am no longer a country girl,I moved into town..Miami,Ok USA....Main roads into Miami, Route 66, Will Rogers Turnpike and Highway 10..If You like a "GOOD" Ice Cream Cone, Stop at "BRAUM'S". There is a lot to see in Miami.. As of right now it't pouring down rain..With flood warning in Kansas (May 14-2010).. Some of the best time's I remember as a child, was "dancing in the rain". The rain make's the red clay pliable...What fun to mold vase's..HAVE A HAPPY SUMMER.......
