8/20/2010 - For 20 years my husband and I fished in Mexico 1 to 3 times a year. I had a fantastic time catching Dorado, Tuna, Sailfish, Rooster Fish, etc. etc. etc. My last fish was a 500 lb Black Marlin. Those 20 years were an Angler's dream. However, there was one problem with that. I had more fun than my body could endure. I ended up having a tendon actually ripped off my right elbow in addition to other tendons and ligaments in the arm being torn apart. I am now suffering from severe spinal damage and have been having one surgery after another: elbow, knee, hand, and neck with more fun to come. I ...Expand for more
can't attend the reunion because my neck is still in a brace even though it has been 2 months since the surgery. Would I do it again? ABSOLUTELY!
My husband bought me a special adjustable reclining chair with a high back for our boat and I'm only 10 months away from being able to go fresh water fishing. I'm up to 45 minutes a day/7 days a week on my stationery bike and will be back to the gym in 2 1/2 months. In 2 weeks I'm hoping to be back in our pool.
In the meantime, I'm starting my book about my adventurous life. Who knows, some of you might be in it.........................................
