Life I left Pierre to join the Air Force...got my wings and spent about 5 years in the Air Force and 18 in the Air National Guard in Oklahoma and Texas. Ended up with about 6,000 hrs flight time, Viet Nam vet and traveled to Wake, Japan, Viet Nam, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Guam, Fiji, Midway, Okinawa, Hawiia (stationed there for awhile!...learned to surf, Rora Tonga, Kwajalein, Johnston Island, Christmas Island, Malden Island (horrible place), Phillipines, Enewitok, all 50 states (spent 18 months starting a company in Alaska), Iceland, Greenland, Goose Bay-Labrador, Puerto Rico, (most of the Carribean islands, Panama, Columbia, Venezuela, Scotland, Ireland, England, France, Italy, Luxemborg, Austria, Spain (stationed there for awhile), Germany (stationed there for a bit), Azores, and some other places...been a great ride. I got my Electrical Engineering degree at the University of Oklahoma....plus Squadron officers School, Command & Staff, Industrial College of the Air Force and Air War College plus a zillion corresondence courses...mostly financial and business courses. I started my civilian career designing and testing nuclear equipment for the AEC, went to Texas Instruments and was a design engineer on the first Terrain Following Radar (test flew it)...it was used on the F-111. And then the first Infrared Radar system used on "Puff, The Magic Dragon"...the first gunship. the newest version is called Spectre, I believe and has awesome firepower...do not mess with that guy. Then I joined a start-up company that we grew into a $125M/Yr company.
