Leslie's Story
Life
I spent the majority of my childhood and teenage years in Spain, where I had a blast and basically called it home. I went to college shortly after I graduated at Northwest. A few years later after getting a degree in Equine Science and Medicine, I hung out on my little island, Puerto Rico. I worked for the Navy as a life guard, and trained horses for a local ranch but needless to say, it wasn't long before I wanted a bit more excitement... so I joined the United States Army in January 02, and got my first duty station in Germany. I work out of a cute town named Giessen as a Veterinary Tech. Being a vet tech is awsome and couldn't see myself doing any thing else. I run my own clinic, doing surgies, sickcall and Labs with my Vet. Its fantastic. I met a wonderful man, Glen, whos a Military Police man stationed here with me. We got married on the 8th of July here in Germany. So thats my little update!! Drop me an email if you want to shoot the breeze. =)

I JOINED THE ARMY IN JANUARY 2002, WENT TO BASIC TRAINING IN SOUTH CAROLINA, FT. JACKSON. LATER WENT TO AIT IN FORT SAM HOUSTON TEXAS, WHERE 4 MONTHS LATER I WAS ON A PLANE TO GERMANY FOR MY FIRST DUTY ASSIGNMENT. CURRENTLY I'M WORKING OUT OF GIESSEN, A CUTE LITTLE TOWN ABOUT 1 HOUR FROM FRANKFURT. I'M A VETERINARY TECHNITION, WHICH I LOVE MY JOB. I GET TO DO SURGIES, CLINIC AND LABS. I RUN MY OWN CLINIC WITH A VISITING DOCTOR ONCE A WEEK. THE ARMY HAS TAUGHT ME ALOT, AND I'M GRATEFULL BUT ON JANUARY 6TH 2006, I GET TO SAY GOODBYE TO MY MILITARY CAREER. ITS NICE AND ALL BUT I'M NOT A LIFER!
On August 18th 2005 we welcomed Kathren Anne into our family. She was 9lbs 11oz and 22"long. She was born in Lich Germany, and what a doll baby she is.
On November 2005 I moved our family, 2 dogs and Kathren to our new home in Kingsport TN. Our first home, just as cozy as can be, however missing Glen while he is serving his second tour in Iraq. Pray for a safe and quick return to us.
October 2006, Glen returned home from the Iraq and finished his Active Duty Commitment. Finally home to enjoy his family.
