UPDATED 12-24-2015 I wrote my Bio many years ago and thought since our reunion is coming up would refreshen up little bit. Back in the old days most of my friends and classmates knew me as Peanuts. After graduating I got my apprenticeship as a Tool & Die Maker. I then got a job at Sobar Co. as Tool Maker until 1972 when I entered the Police Department. I was first assigned to the 25th District at Front and Westmoreland. I worked on patrol as well as undercover positions for a few years. In 1980 I was assigned to the elite Stake Unit (SWAT) until June of 1985, when I transferred to the 15th District. I served there, and in November of 1985 while on routine patrol I responded to a deadly accident scene on I-95 (which closed I-95 for 21 hours) the accident involved another police officer who was critically injured, (who later died as a result of these injuries)and while assisting in helping and removing the injured officer I was exposed to high levels of toxic chemicals, and suffered permanent damage to my lungs and airways. This injury resulted in my retirement from the PD in July of 1988. In December of 1989, my wife Bettyann and I moved to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
