Life
Hi,
I am Elaine Nelson, and this is my life.... well, I don't think I will bore you with it all. Hightlights... I finally graduated college with a history major/elem. reading minor and became a teacher. Funny thing though, I found out I get too sick in the schools with all those viruses the kids bring in. So now, I just substitute a few days a year. I married a wonderful guy and we have 1 child. I have lived in beautiful Colorado since 1973 and still enjoy it. My passion is genealogy and with my hubby's relatives who arrived in the Colonial period (1600-1700), I have had quite a time researching online as well...Expand for more
as trips throughout the states. My own Norwegian ancestry is pretty complete and that was also an interesting study.
My other interest is in the non-profit group sector, working with cultural performing arts groups. For 4 years I was president of the Colorado Folk Arts Council and produced 2 free public shows each year with up to 30 ethnic groups from around the world. Not only was it a wonderful learning experience but it was a great way to use all that music and theatre experience from my days at Minot High. I have been lucky to have had a great journey through life so far and look forward to many more years.
