Earl's Story
Life
Retire from the Military with 22 years were I served as a Navy Combat Corpsman, and Head of Medical Intelligence with the Marines Corps for the past 18 years of the 22 years served. After retirment in the service I worked seven years at MCI as a Senior Engineer with the Government secure lines till they laid off 3,500 of us in 2004. I went back school to renew my LPN/RN License. It sure felt funny sittting in a class room once again with a bunch of 19 year old women and being the only male in all my classes. In 2004 I went back to school full time and also working full time at the University of North Carolina Childrens Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. That right UNC Tar heels. was called back to see if I was help in Government. I am currently back in the United States after working for Government in Electronics Health Records as a analysis. Now Currently working State side in a similar roll For a Company called Allscripts Electronic Health Records and Billing software. With my Medical/Nursing background I support Nurses, Doctor, and medical staff in software issues. Its not Medical Intel but its work. If anyone is in Health care this Company is like Epic and just as large. I missed the past few class reunions...so looking forward to this one.
