Ended up starting a newspaper that became one of Oregon's 10 largest publications, called Just Out. Did that for 15 years. Sold it. Bought a motel on the Oregon Coast south of Yachats and did that for 7 years. Sold it.

say, not a contractor. My business is called Sustainable Adaptations.
I have been with the love of my life for over 12 years. Though I have no children I do have 4 grandchildren from her adult kids. I love that.
I still see Anna Schmidt (now Davis) and our dear friend Penny Crocker died of lung cancer a few years ago. She never quit smoking.
I have snorkeled with sea turtles, hugged gray whales in the wild and petted Keiko the orca while he was in captivity. I love wildlife and working for human rights, justice and peace. I have always been torn between being an activist and being a naturalist.
