Craig's Story

Life Well, my life. Much to my parents horror, I am still single and unmarried...and they let me know that everytime I talk with them. I thought that I found the "one", and we dated for several years, but it turned out that she was not the one. I bought my first home a few years ago and that was an experience. It was new construction, so I had to pick out the fixtures, carpets and appliances. Thankfully the interior designer was there to help me! I live in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago, where it is not as expensive, but that means that I have an hour plus drive into work each morning, but at least the morning radio shows are entertaining and sometimes make me forget that there are hundreds of idiots around me on the same tollway. Aside from work, my hobbies are trying to play golf (key word there is "trying") and somehow I got involved into making homemade beer and wine. My ultimate hobby is to learn to fly. I have taken several lessons, but the mortgage and car payments have taken my flight lessons money and left me with just enough to get by on. In my freetime I enjoy going into Chicago and in the ...Expand for more
summers, we usually go to Wrigley to catch a game. Last year we went to Milwaukee twice to see the Cubs and Brewers and this upcoming season we are taking another road trip up to Minnesota to see the Cubs and Twins. Workplace During college, I started to work with St. Mary's hospital in Evansville. I worked there (in the IT division of one of their for-profit offices) until 1998 when I was "downsized" out of a job. Not finding much of a job market in Evansville, I picked up and moved to Chicago and found a job with a computer reseller. I worked there, building and configuring computer systems and server systems up until about 2000. I left them to work for a company based out of San Diego that sold software to autobody repair shops. I was the tech support rep for Illinois. I had a home office and lived out of my car and hotels during the week. I got bored and needed to get back into an office environment, so in 2002 I went to another computer company and have been there ever since. Right now I have been contracted out to a large financial/credit card company, providing desktop support to their 3000+ users.
