Jim's Story
Life
After high school I went to Tarrant County Junior College for a couple of years. I worked at the old Wards Drug and at the Pier One headquarters. I then went into construction as a finish carpenter. In 1980, I went to San Diego to visit a friend and ended up staying. I've been living here ever since. I went back to school in 1983 and got a degreee in Computer Science. I'm currently working as a Sr. Systems Analyst at Qualcomm. I got married in 1986 and have been divorced since 1993. I don't have any children but hope to remarry some day and either have my own kids or meet someone with kids. I've really enjoyed San Diego even though the cost of living is high and I'm away from my family. I like to go camping, bicycling, play tennis and other outdoor stuff. urch choir. The last few years have been a bit challenging for me. First there was the divorce and then chronic illness. I've had a lot of problems with hypothyroidism(low thyroid in the last 5 years as well as a tumor that I just had removed. I'm finally feeling well again and have returned to lifting weights and bicycling. My main focus right now is to drop the excess weight that I gained in the last few years. I haven't been to any reunions yet but I plan on making the next one. I still feel like a kid at the age of 46! I felt quite out of place in High School. Like a lot of people, I had a lot of issues to work out. I look forward to re-connecting with my classmates. Southwest was a good school and I think it had a very good impact on me. Drop me an email -- I'd love to hear from you...
