Kathleen's Story
Life
So much has happened since High School, where do I begin? I was recently doing the 'college experience' working toward a Sociology Degree, with so much going on right now I found myself too distracted.
I have worked at ESU for 26 years, as a Library Assistant for 19 years. I re-married 20 years ago (3rd time was a charm) and have had 5 beautiful children; a lovely daughter, 34 - my eldest son, 30 a wonderful daughter-in-law, AND two teen sons, 19 & 17 (all Cavs! LOL) one of the youngest just graduated from HS starts college in the fall - took a year off(?!) the other will be a Senior next year. I also have 3 fabulous grandsons ages 10-3! We are a busy family!
My youngest daughter passed away very suddenly in 1987, at age 6 - our little angel.
An animal lover, we have 2 cats and presently 1 dog, a HUGE lap dog (Great Pyrenees).
Hobbies (hmm not much time for those) however, from time to time one will strike my inter...Expand for more
est - I was doing Geo-caching for a while, which was fun! I'd like to get back into that and back to working on that Sociology Degree. Just the experience of taking classes has been a rewarding one.
Wow - whooda thought that 50+ wouldn't be so terrible and OLD!! I still have so much I want to do! With my multi-generation family it gets pretty interesting. I find that my biggest disappointment is how incredibly this area has changed!! Of course my older kids remember simpler things and simpler times - whereas the younger ones do not. Actually my eldest son began to feel the change in the later 1990's when he graduated from ESHS. My younger guys seem to be feeling the crunch of the population bursting at the seams! My older kids as myself are quite disgusted about the so-called development of the area. When a neighbor is our area said 'oh yeah, we've been here a long time from (state) we moved here 8 years ago - WOW! OK then!
