Susan's Story
The question stated above this column says "Who are you really, Susan?" Well, I don't know the answer to that. I am a mother, a "Meme", a former teacher, a Christian, a good friend. But what seems to define me now is that awful status of widow. Certainly not a title I ever wanted to have and never thought it would come at such a time in my life. I have three wonderful children. My oldest son is in culinary school, so I guess I won't have to cook Thanksgiving dinner any more! My daughter is entering nursing school this fa...Expand for more
ll, so if I get sick, I'll have someone to call regardless of what my HMO says! My youngest son is starting junior high this year so I guess I'm in for those lovely teenage years again soon. My grandson is the sweetest, smartest child ever in existence (aren't they all?). I have a lovely home, a wonderful church family, and friends I can count on. I do truly feel blessed. Even without Craig's physical presence in my life, I still carry him in my heart and always will. So, who am I? I'll let you know when I figure it out!
