Joseph's Story
Life
I retired from United Airlines in 2003 after 30 years. Most of that time was spent as a spokesperson for the airline in the media relations group. It was a wonderful experience which I continue to cherish. Prior to that I worked for 10 years in the newspaper business as a reporter and editor. I am married to Lisa since 1987, and we have four grandchildren through her two daughters. We live in the summer on the North Side of Chicago not too far from Lake Michigan and Wrigley Field and in the winter in PebbleCreek in Goodyear, ...Expand for more
AZ a short distance west of Phoenix. I am concentrating in retirement on getting myself in better physical condition, and I spend some time trying to manage our investments (with mixed results). I am a big fan of CNBC-TV. Reading is a major interest. I play golf, and thanks to living in Arizona my handicap index has dropped to 15.0. And the grandchildren keep us active. Lisa retired in 2007 from Treasure Island, a small supermarket chain. She loves to swim in our pool and the community pool and scours the local shops for values. jh
