BRENDA (ROCK)'s Story

Life 2 Daughters: Michelle and Monica. Michelle/husband live in Amarillo, TX. They have two sons. Michelle grauated from Baylor in Waco, TX. She is a high school teacher and in 2010-2011 Teacher of the Year for the state of Texas! Monica/husband have three boys, and 1 daughter. Monica is an artist. Graduated from Kansas City Art Institute. They live in KC, MO. I have always been a stay at home mom. Keith and I love touring in our 1954 MGTF. We also love collecting 50's & 60's things.. I love cooking, baking, cake decorating, crafting and I have always love creating... In 1998 I was featured in "Profiles" in the Good Housekeeping magazine, as "The Candy Queen". I am a candy architect and artist using familiar candy to create edible sculptures. I also have a book written about me that is in the Education Market ("Candy Creations from the Ca...Expand for more
ndy Queen") on a reading program, by Mondo Publisher. I am featured as a "Candy Queen" cartoon character in a comic book promoting literacy, arts and creativity. Also, featured in the "Starring You" book by Harper Collins. Written by Terence Noonan, Marta Tracy, and Karen Kelly. This year June 2011, Keith and I took a road trip with our MG car Club. (we have a 1954 MGTF since 1972) We live in NJ and drove down to Ocean City, MD to the starting pont. We drove RT 50 all the way on our coast to coast road trip! We got to Reno in 8 days and was there for 4 days for our event then we drove on to the ocean in SF. We were there for 2 days then drove down Highway 1 along the coast to LA, CA. Then headed back along RT 66 and 40. I was a wonderful drive... and I would recomment traveling RT 50! It was such a beautiful drive and roads in great conditon!
