Martin's Story
My wife (Sarah) and I celebrated our 28th anniversary in January '08. We have four offspring...a son who is also married, a daughter about to graduate from LSU in May, a daughter set to finish beauty college in April, and a daughter half way through the 7th grade.
Besides pastoring the church I founded in 2000, I also serve as a deputy sheriff in East Baton Rouge Parish. I currently work at the Parish Prison with the G.E.D. program and the Law Library.
We have two crazy, wonderful dogs--Jackson and Molly ...Expand for more
and two totally insane cats--Milo and Toby.
I enjoy shooting/hunting (when I get the chance) and reading historic fiction and non-fiction.
I really do miss the good old days when Mrs. Mary Lea Phillips would ask of me in the library, "Why, Child, what ARE you doing?"
I had a great time in July '06 meeting up with Jennifer, Annie Faye and Kenneth Mc at the Watermelon Fest in Farmerville. My oldest daughter came along and thought the "old gang" was a hoot!
Feel free to contact me. I'm in the BR phone book.
