Amy's Story
Life
I donÂt even know how I got to the point where I am typing a bio onto this website. It started out innocently enough; I have begun a quest to reconnect with friends from my childhood. If you are one of those people from my childhood, please email me. The cost to subscribe to this website for three months is less expensive than therapy.
Chris Jackson (the husband) and I met at Texas A&M University; we were both working on the Â5 Year Degree Plan. I was giving campus tours to prospective Aggies and he was visiting a friend who worked with me. He is a saint, so much so that I feel evil compared to his goodness. After I graduated I moved back to Austin and taught first grade for three years and second grade for one year. We left Austin for Lufkin (Chris job), where I worked in a State Farm office for one year before we moved to Chattanooga in the summer of 2004.

(I know what you are thinking, it is called Bright School because the kids are smart- while that is the case, the name comes from its founder, Mary Gardner Bright). Some days I build and launch rockets with kids, other days I attend (notice the verb is attend, not participate in) cooking classes, sometimes we write stories together, other times we make commercials. I get paid to explore their interests and affinities. I LOVE IT! I am working towards my MasterÂs in Education, Reading Specialist and Chris Jackson is working on his MBA.
My parents are now living in Murfreesboro, TN and I get to visit them whenever I want, which is often.
We live in an old cottage in the downtown historic district, small on square footage but loaded with character. Our only child is our miniature daschund, Maximus, and there are no plans to reproduce any time soon (I fear needles, hospitals, and pain in private places).
