Charlotte's Story
Life
After living in the San Francisco Bay area for over 40 years, I've moved to a lovely retirement village near Sacramento. In spite of some 100 plus degree days during the summer, I really like this area. It's not far from the Sierra foothills, and Lake Tahoe and is still close enough to get back to the Bay Area often.
My three sons are scattered. The oldest and his family live in Minneapolis; the middle one lives in northern California along the Trinity River, and the youngest and his family live less than two hours away in Livermore, CA.
I keep very busy here on various committees, with the fitness program, and someday maybe I'll get to organize all the family photographs that I promised myself that I would do when I retired! I'm still dreaming! I still read a lot and love my computer.

h a cat lover, and have inherited a long-haired gray cat from a former resident. She's a love and a wonderful companion. She died 3 years agp (2009). but I was given a new little lady for my birthday in May of this year - renewing my pleasure of pet ownership.
I have traveled a great deal over the years -- have visited every continent and still take at least two trips a year (in addition to family visits). I just don't go quite as far or quite so long any more. It would be fun to compare travel experiences with anyone interested.
NEW NEWS. In February 2011 I married Jim Jordan - also a resident of this community. We honeymooned
in Japan and Okinawa and are happily enjoying merging our lives and families in this new relationship. There are many adjustments to be made in our eighties, but it's worth every minute.
