Michael's Story
Once upon a time, a poor guy who had ideas that he wanted to express decided that expression came through the cultural norm of acquire and turn heads. The bell, however, rang hollow, and the guy became disallusioned. A life filled with stuff was a life with too much fluff. He found that not even the anaesthetic of popular media could still the voices of reason in his head, and he began to see that life should mean more. Thus, he came to a fork in the road and had to choose between an empty life full of things that rust, break, or get stolen and a life full of stimulating ideas. uspecting that his turn might come too soon also. Now he inflicts great pain on others, whenever they pause long enough to listen to the drivel that exudes from our guy's mouth like the drool of an old fool. Our guy now refuses to wear that symbol of social subjugation, the necktie, and every day is bluejeans Friday, except that he now takes Fridays off for whatever other pursuits he might find. Now the only suit he'll wear is red and white, and he wears that only because it makes children smile. The guy who would have sold his soul to fit in back then has become the sort of beast who would give his soul to spread the most precious treasure on Earth: simple, childlike happiness.
