Robert's Story

Life Well, since the last time I bothered to look at this thing, I moved to New Jersey for more money, which is always a mistake. Then I moved to New Orleans for more fun, which was great while it lasted. Then I moved back to New Jersey again, and was somewhat semi-retired, but it didn't last too long. I prefer to be working, probably the most drastic change in my attitude since high school... Now I'm back in PA, working for a company in NJ from my home office (most of the time). Things are generally pretty good. School I think it's safe to say that I really didn't take high school all that seriously. I was bored too much of the time, and only did the minimum necessary to get by. That was an unfortunate attitude to have entering college. College College and I didn't really get along. w. I'd prefer to be immersed in one thing for 40 hours one week and absorb as much as possible, instead of spreading everything out in bits and pieces over 14 weeks. After driving my car under a tractor-trailer in June 1994 and breaking most of the bones in my head, I was never able to get back into classes, and I left college in the middle of the spring semester in 1995. Workplace Eh, jobs are jobs for the most part. I've certainly made my share of employment mistakes. I've worked as a librarian, in retail at an art and custom framing shop, and at about 8 different computer professional positions since making my final break from college. My favorite work environments are those that have enabled me to create something new to solve a problem that someone else has labelled as impossible. I've done a lot of impossible things in my career.
