Donna's Story
Life
After graduating from high school in May 1965, I got married in October 1965 and we have been married for 39 years. Gordon and I have 2 children, Valerie and Jeffrey. Jeffrey is now married. Valerie is a stay a home child with a disability. In January 1996, I was diagnoised with colonrectal cancer and I have had a very life changing experience in my life. . I have participated in the Relay For Life for the past 7 years. I have coordinated the Relay For LIfe for 5 years and the last 2 years I have been instrumental in bring theRelay For Life to Hardin County, Illinois. It is now a yearly overnight party at the High School, honoring cancer survivors and memorying our loved ones who have lost their battle with cancer. I am disabled now but still involved in the American Cancer Society as a volunteer. My goal in life now is to raise monies to find a cure for cancer.
