Michele's Story
I just lost my husband, Pete Prestegard, also in our same class of '62. He died of pneumonia, complicated by emphasema. Lesson:DON't smoke!
emphasema is not reversible!
We were married for 42 years, and worked hard to stay together!
We have traveled to the Grand Canyon, both North Rim & South Rim (N.Rim is our favorite...it is quiet and cozy, fewer people). We were in a thunder & lightening storm that lasted over 6 hours, and got snowed on a different year, the night before it closed down for the season. Fantastic!!! ing in & out of the canyons, like an echo that doesn't quit.
We hiked up to Vernal Falls in Yosemite (actually I did, he stopped and waited at the bridge...said he saw all of the "wet" people coming down and he didn't want to get soaked). It was beautiful...the spring melt was full force. Yes, I did get soaked from the mist (it was the "Mist Trail"). Highly recommended!
I am working, love dogs, currently have a cat & 1 dog.
Pete & I both loved archeology, are fascinated by Egypt & the pyramids, the American Indians.
Am still living in Fresno.
