Lydia's Story
My husband, Pat LaPointe, and I have lived in Fredericton since 1981. We love the city, as well as the province. I travel quite a bit, so I see a lot of the gorgeous scenery, and the highways are slowly improving!

My husband is an engineer with Stantec, formerly Neill and Gunter. He is the senior piping specialist and works on industrial plants all over NB and beyond.
We have 2 grown daughters, who are married and have a total of 3 grandsons, all under age 4. Janine and her husband live in Whitby, ON, with their 2 boys. Diane is an engineer at Point Lepreau and they live in Grand Bay, so we see her family a lot. Being a grandparent is as much fun as everyone said it would be.
