James's Story

Life Army helicopter pilot for four years. Attended Ohio University (BBA) and Woodrow Wilson College of Law (JD). Married Beverly Mason. 2 step children - Laura (1963) and Kent (1966) and four Grandchildren Joanna (1989), Emily (1982), Rausey (1999) and Lily (2001). 8/19/05 Joanna left today for NYC to qualify for the US Open (tennis) Juniors. She was selected as one of five US girls to represent the US against 5 European girls in Bermuda the end of Sept. and I expect to go watch so I will miss the 05 reunion. I'll be in NY during the Open if she qualifies for it. It is her first tournament since a wrist injury which kept her out of the 18 yr. old USTA Clay and Hard court Super National Championships so we are hoping she will be ready. on Jan. 1, 2000 and became a professional tennis chair umpire as well as doing arbitrations from time to time. Play tennis about three times a week and take vacations when I can get Beverly to take time off from her real estate business. Wish she would just quit altogether and travel more but she is afraid she would be bored and she might because she hasn't developed any hobbies. I go skiing at least one time a year but have a hard time justifying more than that because Beverly hates the cold (good thing she was reared here in Atlanta and not Ohio) and can't ski anymore anyway. She had to have a heart valve replaced in 1996 and takes a blood thinner (makes it more dangerous to have an injury). Hope y'all (as we say here) have a great reunion.
