William's Story
Life
Now 78. My children forced me to retire at 69. After having bypass surgery, two heart attacks and a slight stroke.I graduated from Lk. Washington High School in 1951. After high school I went to work at Boeing, six months after that I joined the Navy. Spent 40 months out of 48 over sea's. After discharge, went to work as a carpenter. Worked as a carpenter all my life. Was married in 1959, we had 3 children. Divorced in 1965. I now have 2 Grandchildern and 2 GreatGrand Daughters. Have lived in Kirkland-Redmond, Washington area since graduation.

Military
I served aboard the USS Frontier from spring of 1952 until Dec. of 1955. I worked in the carpenter shop. Was a Damage Controlman 2nd class. I also was a lock smith. A few of the guy's I can remember right off hand are- Gooch, Miller, Santagate, McNeil, Galloway, Strassburg, Goetz, Farris,Hangsleben, Morgan. Others I can picture but can't put a name to them right off hand. I would have get out my old album. I remember the cruises to Hong Kong, Phillipines and around Japan. Of coarse Hawaii. A lot of good times were had in Yokosuka. More later.
