Ed's Story
2009 has come and gone, and a lot of people have said it was a bad year. 2010 is here and....It's "Now" time for a "CHANGE" in your Life! Let's live happier and for "Him". Make a change in your life and live it more abundantly. At graduation, who thought we would be where we are today. I remember a lot of good times and a few not so good, but we made it through. On senior skip day at Live Oaks a lot of us went to a scout camp up on a hill over looking the Little Miami River. We thought we were having a good time until we were surprised by the camp personnel and the law. Everyone scattered and our cars got towed while we watched, hiding in the woods. Some of us gave in and got in trouble. I did not, but did get my car towed. I had to walk and thumb a ride (for miles) to get home. Even then God had His hand on me. I remember in high school, a few people I new were christians. I even received a bible as a gift, but did not understand at the time that God was dealing with me. It took 15 more years before I finally realized I was spiritually lost, for 31 years. During that time if something went wrong in life "I" always fixed it. At 6'4" and 240 lbs, "nothing stopped me", "I" was in control. It was in 1992, I finally had a situation "I" could not fix and I was stopped dead in my tracks. My wife left me and filed for divorce, seven years into our marriage. Long story short a "miracle" happened through the power of God. There is no other explanation. It was only when I turned everything over to Him, and through "sincere prayer" when things worked out. By the Grace of God,the divorce never took place and "we are still married". It was through that situation when I found eternal life through Jesus Christ, my Lord. Life is completley different. You too, can have your name written in the Lambs Book of Life. Accept the Free Gift God has to offer in your life. Make a "CHANGE" in your life, repent and turn away from your old lifestyle (sins) and live your life daily, for Him. believing, teaching church and have eternal peace. If this is hard to understand, pick up your bible and start reading the new testament. Begin with the Gospel of John and I John. Ask God to speak to your heart through His word, and life will have new meaning and purpose. Do not delay, tomorrow is not promised, make the choice "now" and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Believe in your heart He died for your sins, He was buried and raised to life on the 3rd day. He is alive today, sitting at the right hand of God. He will return for those who truly believe and trust on His name and put their Faith in Him !! If God is dealing with you today, "surrender today", to Him. Two of my favorite verses are, (1)Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not lean on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path... Proverbs 3:5&6. I was blessed in my junior and senior year to attend Live Oaks Career Development Campus in the Machine Trades Class,and have a career in the trade. I worked at K-Mart and Perkins on Rt28 in my junior year and in my senior year I started my new career as a machinest.
A year after graduation I married a girl from Goshen, A.Mullinex. It was short lived. We ended up in Texas in 1980 but, she decided she wanted to live the single life after moving to the big city and by her choice, divorced shortly there after. I really like living in the southern states, there are 12 months of good weather to be out enjoying His creation !!!!! Give your life to Him, there is no promise of tomorrow. Live for Him, TODAY !!!!!!!!!!
