Carol's Story
Buzy, buzy and working on slowing down. I do adult foster care for Develementally Adults, and I love my folks. About half of my grand kids live close by so I am blessed with seeing them and my three sons regularly. My oldest granddaughter is 20 years old and married, in College, BYU PROVO, and my youngest was born January 16, 2008. What a wonderful life I have now. Every mistake I made has brought me to where I am today. I was born and will die in Colorado. I need to work for 10 more years as I can't aford to not work and stay independant. I would like to find some of the great friends I had in school. Some were just good people and some we got into a lot of trouble doing things we were not suppose to. I think about those days with more fondness the older I get. Stay well, and be happy. LOL :) Carol
My current age is 65. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong.
I didn't have any idea what i was going to do with myself....Expand for more
Now i am a strong freethinking self suppporting woman. If i had known what I could accomplish when i was in HS how suprised I would have been. I have been a beauty operator 2 years, worked heavy and highway construction for 17 years mostly as a heavy equipment operator, worked as a school bus driver, drove head start kids, worked at H & R block in QC, and now do adult foster care. I hide in my work from myself. the most interesting job was a "Stripper" at a year book company in KC, where i applied red tape on year books on the negatives.
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by takeing better care of myself.
My oldest friendship is with Arlene M and I don;t know why we clicked but she liked me and took care of me, heavens knows i was not socially skilled. She is doing wonderful and still likes me.
My first job was at Arlene Discount Store on Broadway in Littleton, where I got paid $1.64 an hour to cashier. What I remember most about it is I liked working.
