Jeannine's Story
Life
Jeannine Arsenault married Robert Cote in 57, had 6 children (3girls, 3boys) lived in California from l960 to 69, came back to Ashford, Ct where Bob & I raised our family, also where all of Bob's family and 2 other of my sisters lived. After our family was all grown up and on their own, we lived in Florida for the winter months. In April of 2000, Bob passed away. Our 6 children were all married. Presently, I still spend the winter months in Ft.Lauderdale and come back to my house in Ashford, Ct for the summer months and live in a small section of my house (efficiency apartment) My oldest son,Phil and his family have taken over my house with his family. of my children in Connecticut,one daughter(Denise)in Mass.and one daughter & family(Louise)in Spain. I now have 13 wonderful grandchildren-9 girls and 4 boys ranging from age 21 to newborn (April 5th,2003) Will be leaving to go back to Florida Nov 1st, where I still work part-time as cashier at the Ireland's Inn. I'm recently retired from the Publick House,a famous Inn in Sturbridge,Mass. where I had been working since l969, when I came back from California as a waitress and hostess. After I graduated from St.Leonard, I went to Notre Dame D'Acadie in Moncton for a secretarial course and worked in Montreal for a year while Robert was in the service and before we got married.
